Nobody kicks a composite door in
A GRP skinned door in a reinforced frame with a multipoint lock is a genuinely serious barrier, and attacking the leaf is loud, slow and unlikely to work. So that is not what happens.
What happens is cylinder snapping. A standard euro cylinder protrudes slightly from the handle, and it can be gripped, snapped and manipulated in well under a minute by somebody with a tool bought online and a video to follow. It is quiet, it needs no skill, and it defeats an otherwise excellent door.
A TS007 3 star anti-snap cylinder is engineered around that attack. It has sacrificial sections designed to break in a controlled way, and a locking mechanism that engages harder when the cylinder is attacked rather than releasing.
If you upgrade one thing on your order, upgrade this. It is the difference between a secure door and a door that looks secure.

Anti-snap cylinders
Cylinder snapping is how most composite doors are actually attacked. Every door we supply can be specified with a TS007 3 star anti-snap cylinder, and we recommend you do.
Multipoint locking
Hook bolts, roller cams and a deadbolt engaging into a reinforced keep along the full height of the frame, not just at the handle.
Reinforced frames
Galvanised steel reinforcement through the outerframe and sash, so the keeps have something solid to bite into.
Laminated or toughened glazing
Internally beaded and bonded, so the glass cannot be removed from outside without destroying it.
PAS 24 tested door sets
Where you need to meet Approved Document Q on a new build or an extension, PAS 24 certified door sets are available.
Insurance friendly
Specifying a kitemarked cylinder and a multipoint lock keeps you compliant with the security conditions in most home insurance policies.

Four acronyms that get used loosely in this industry. Here is what each one actually certifies.

TS007 is the British standard for cylinder security. A 3 star rating means the cylinder alone has passed the attack tests, which is what you want. You can also reach 3 stars with a 1 star cylinder plus 2 star security furniture, but a 3 star cylinder on its own is simpler and better.
You need one if Building Regulations apply, which typically means a new build, a new opening, or a change of use. Approved Document Q requires easily accessible doors to meet PAS 24 or an equivalent standard. For a straight replacement in an existing opening, it is optional but not a bad idea.
The leaf, yes, substantially. The lock and cylinder are the same components either way, which is exactly why the cylinder matters more than the door material.
Rarely as a discount, but frequently as a condition. Many policies require specific lock standards on final exit doors, and not meeting them can affect a claim. Check your schedule and specify accordingly.
