Privacy policy

This policy describes how the site is actually built. It must be reviewed against your registered details and your ICO registration before launch.

Who is responsible

DoorDeals Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this policy using the details on our contact page.

What we collect

• Enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number and whatever you tell us in a message.
• Order details: your name, contact details, delivery address and the specification of your door.
• Payment confirmation: we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card details, which are handled entirely by Stripe.
• Technical data: standard server logs, and analytics if you have consented to it.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Who we share it with

• The manufacturer of your door (Door-Stop International or Solidor), who need your delivery address to make and deliver it.
• Stripe, who process payments.
• Our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf.
• Nobody else. We do not sell data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become orders: 24 months, then deleted.
• Orders: seven years, because HMRC require it for accounting records.
• Guarantee records: for the life of the guarantee plus one year, so we can honour a claim.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased where we have no overriding reason to keep it, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Contact us and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
